Biography
Lee Jun-young, formerly known as Jun, is a South Korean singer, actor and former member of the boy groups U-KISS and UNB. He debuted in June 2014 as U-KISS's rapper, vocalist and maknae with their 9th mini-album, Mono Scandal. The group had already debuted in 2008, but Global H Media decided to add him to the lineup after several auditions to replace member AJ, who was on hiatus. In 2017, he entered the singing survival show The Unit and ended up in 1st place, earning a spot in the show's resulting project group. He re-debuted in April 2018 as UNB's main vocalist, rapper, lead dancer and center with their first mini-album, Boyhood. The group's contract was planned for one year, but they officially disbanded in January 2019 when the members' agencies could not reach an agreement to extend the contract's duration. As an actor, he debuted in 2017 with a role in Avengers Social Club and has appeared in many dramas since then. He was the male lead in Laboum’s Turn it On MV and released his first solo album, Gallery, in 2019. He debuted as a solo artist in November 2019 with the digital single Tell. In 2021, his contract ended and he decided not to renew it, officially leaving U-KISS. In early 2022, he co-established a new agency, J-FLEX Entertainment, to pursue his activities as an actor. He's focused on his acting career and has won several awards as a newcomer or rookie actor. In June 2024, his company was acquired by Billions Entertainment and is now represented by them.
