Biography
Luis Vega is an Actor, Writer, and Educator based in Brooklyn, NY. Over a 20-year career as an actor he has worked in theater, film, tv, commercials, and voiceovers. New York Theater: BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB (Atlantic Theater Company); TARTUFFE (Moliere in the Park); THE GETT (Rattlestick Theater); HINDSIGHT (Fault Line Theater Company); THE UNDERLYING CHRIS (Second Stage); TELL HECTOR I MISS HIM (Atlantic Theater Company); i thought i would die but i didn’t (New Georges/The Tank). Regional Theater: LAUGHS IN SPANISH (Denver Center); CHANGE AGENT (Arena Stage); THE HUMANS (Broadway National Tour); WHERE STORMS ARE BORN (Williamstown); THE UNDERPANTS (Old Globe); SEIZE THE KING (La Jolla Playhouse); AS YOU LIKE IT (Guthrie). Film/TV: “BLUE BLOODS” (CBS), “THE GOOD FIGHT” (Paramount +), “MADAM SECRETARY” (CBS), ANOTHER EARTH (Fox Searchlight). Luis has taught Acting Technique and Scene Study at both UCSD and the New York Film Academy. His first original play THE LAST BARNSTORM won Teatro Vivo’s Austin Latino New Play Festival in 2017. Luis is an Associate Artist with Fault Line Theatre and holds a BA in English from Columbia University as well as an MFA in Acting from UCSD. Other teachers Luis has studied under include William Esper (Meisner Technique), Kristin Linklater (Shakespeare), Austin Pendleton (Scene Study), and Bob Krakower (On Camera Technique). “
