Simon wrote and directed the spectacular indie sci-fi movie, Invasion Planet Earth, which on release was one of the top 20 films in the UK. He has over 30 years experience as an editor and director in the British film industry where he started as an editor in children’s TV. Described as a ludicrously ambitious filmmaker by the UK’s Guardian Newspaper, his love of filmmaking started at 14 when his super 8mm film, Battle in Outer Space, featured on the BBC TV show, Screen Test. At 16, his second film, Circles of a World, was commended at the 9th Tokyo Film Festival. In 2005 the Horror Channel described him as one of the UK’s hottest up and coming directors when they screened his first feature film, Written in Blood.
He has directed and edited numerous short films, feature films, commercials, documentaries and corporate productions.
