Biography
Emily Brockmann is a British casting director and casting associate based in London who works with Lucy Bevan Casting. She discovered an interest in casting at a young age. When she was about 15, she attended a careers evening. She met Lucy Bevan, who introduced her to the work of casting directors. After finishing school, she went on to university while also doing internships and work experience in casting, gradually building expertise in the field. Throughout her career, she has contributed to a diverse range of film, television, and theatre projects. Among her better-known works are Belfast (2021), Matilda: The Musical (2022), and Deadpool & Wolverine (2024). Her credits also include films such as The Hundred-Foot Journey, Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw, Atomic Blonde, All Is True, Ready Player One, and Cats. She has been recognised by her peers several times: her work on Matilda: The Musical earned her an Artios Award, and she has also been nominated (or been part of nominated casting teams) for Belfast, All the Light We Cannot See, and Cruella, among others.
