Paul Vanezis is a key member of the Doctor Who Restoration Team and a person actively involved in the search for missing episodes. He was notably directly involved in the recovery of the first three episodes of The Reign of Terror. He was also responsible for video effects and editing in the Reeltime Pictures home video story Shakedown: Return of the Sontarans. He also directed the home video The Crusade, which featured William Russell in a linking narrative for that story.
