Biography
Powell Robinson is an award-winning narrative and commercial Cinematographer based out of Los Angeles, represented by Zero Gravity Management. While his clientele for music video / commercial work features world-renowned talent including Doja Cat, The Weeknd, Jack White, Pedro Pascal, and Megan Fox – his main passion lives in genre feature filmmaking. Recently, Powell has shot two horror features over the last two years for Hulu and Worthenbrooks (previously 20th Digital). The first of which, Appendage, premiered at SXSW 2023, and SITGES 2023. Notable independent feature work in the past includes Threshold (Arrow Video), Greenlight (Horror Collective), and the documentary feature Conversion (Gravitas Ventures) narrated by Zachary Quinto. Powell's love for intense genre content extends into his short form work as well, having shot multiple short films for CryptTV, Hulu Bite Size Halloween, and independent shorts like 10 Shots premiering at Screamfest in Los Angeles, Marked at Beyondfest, and Accomplice at Dances with Films and Shriekfest.
