Paul "Bong" Alvarez (born June 15, 1968) is a retired professional basketball player of the Philippine Basketball Association, dubbed as "Mr. Excitement" because of his high-leaping, slam-dunking acts, a smooth operator who waits for the defense to open up for picks before gliding in, and after a bone-jarring dunk, he hangs on the ring long enough to see if there are legs underneath.
