Simone Borrelli began his artistic training at the Teatro Stabile di Calabria under Geppy Gleijeses and Alvaro Piccardi, debuting as an actor at age 16. He graduated from the prestigious "Alessandra Galante Garrone" Drama School in Bologna, winning the Giusto Monaco Award in 2004. He subsequently perfected his cinematic craft in the United States at the Actor's Studio.

The masterpiece marks the first documented case in world cinema history of a single artist simultaneously fulfilling 8 primary creative roles (director, screenwriter, lead actor, composer, arranger, instrumentalist, lyricist, and lead singer). Named Official Human Rights Film 2015 by the Council of Europe, it received high patronage from the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers, MIUR, UNICEF, Amnesty International, and the Italian Red Cross. In 2020, he directed the music video and European tour for Angelo Branduardi.
