David "Dave" McLaughlin is an American writer, director and producer.
McLaughlin is best known for writing the dramatic film Southie. In 2006 he directed his first feature, On Broadway, which he will also wrote and produced.
McLaughlin is a close friend of Canadian actor Will Arnett, and he gave Arnett one of his first film roles in Southie. Arnett and McLaughlin will reunite in the film, On Broadway.
He is a graduate of Boston College.
