Martina Bigert, born Rosander, has a degree in law. She is working as illustrator, author of children’s books, script writer and director. Bigert has published the books about Barbara, the children’s book Dolly Dott and the Long Tongue (1997) as well as the children’s books about Hetty. The books about Barbara have also been published as a comic strip in Swedish papers and she has also played the main character in five of Bigert’s animated short films.
Bigert has directed a number of music videos, commercials and short films. Her short film A Lonesome Cowgirl premiered at the Gothenburg Film festival in 2005. Together with Maria Thulin, with whom she co-wrote the script for All About My Bush (2007). The two writers are also the authors of the script for a TV-series, The Gynaecologist from Askim (2007).
