Engin Çağlar (28 August 1940 – 1 November 2025), was a Turkish film actor. His mother was born in Skopje. His father came from a family that had migrated to Istanbul from a small town on the coast of the Sea of Azov. His father owned a factory that manufactured industrial materials. He attended Robert College for secondary school. In 1958, he played football for a short time at Galatasaray. He studied at university in Germany. He was conscripted into the military in 1965. That same year, names such as Kadir İnanır, Sümer Tilmaç, Demir Karahan, and Altan Bozkurt also participated in the competition. He began his film career in 1968 with Bilge Olgaç's film Öksüz. In 1969, he gained recognition by starring alongside Hülya Koçyiğit in the film Kınalı Yapıncak, directed by Orhan Aksoy.
