A sensitive portrait of the behind-the-scenes at the Tom Jobim Youth Orchestra in São Paulo, where young artists with classical backgrounds are challenged to immerse themselves in Brazilian popular music and create together. All scores are specially composed or arranged for the training orchestra, where these young musicians discover their Brazilian roots through a process that transforms not only the music, but the artists themselves.

In the third 90-minute episode of the popular early-evening series, the overly conscientious precinct chief, Ms. Küppers (Saskia Fischer), of all people, finds herself the focus of the investigation. After a serious traffic accident, Ms. Küppers’ car is found abandoned at the scene, while a pedestrian is fighting for his life. Has the otherwise conscientious chief actually committed a hit-and-run? Lukas Petersen (Patrick Abozen) can’t believe it and, together with Bente Hinrichs (Sinha Melina Gierke) and the team, begins searching for the truth. The trail leads far beyond the events of the night of the accident, right into a web of lies, power, and violence. And Robert Gebhardt (Oliver Mommsen), a longtime friend of Ms. Küppers, also plays a crucial role in the matter.
