The event will air via pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming and will be held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. This will be the first SummerSlam to take place across two nights the first WWE stadium event held in Minneapolis, and the second SummerSlam overall in the city, after the 1999 event, which took place at Target Center.
