Walter is a boring man and has lived a boring life. He lives alone in an apartment he's had for fifteen years. He renews his leave every year on the fifteenth of August. A date that is coming up soon. Unbeknownst to Walter, his life will hold great value to some, and to others, it will mean as much as anything else.
