A regular student house in London. A regular bunch of students and ex-students. This is their home from home - only home is India! Meet the Anglistanis, a bunch of "Desis" trying to make their way in the big city. Arpit; tall, handsome, studying... or is he? Sameer; funny, greedy, lazy - he's here to study... what was that subject? Kalpana; she's a model student... and a nag! Rehan; he's a student of IT... and love! Jignesh; he's a student of life... and trying to earn a crust. Arjun; he's the master of the house... or is he? The house is bursting at the seams and landlord-cum-father figure Kuldeep is trying to keep order. But when the beautiful Nisha, Arpit's old flame from India, asks for a place to stay, their world is turned upside down with love triangles, gangsters and even cross dressing Mujra dancers!

In a crumbling 1920s Mexican hospital, patients with bizarre afflictions are in constant need of medical attention, but the miserable doctor in charge prefers to drink. However, an encounter with the Saint of Holes will rearrange the doctor's fate, sending him on a journey of altered perspective.

Although it was actually an impersonal commissioned film, the director's style is clearly recognizable. Once again he manages to make something that is normal very strange: the dancing people in costumes are filmed in such a way that they look bizarre and absurd. Jan de Bont's camerawork shows a series of color images of dancing people, edited to the rhythm of the music. Halfway through the film, a lonely clown can be seen among the dancing crowd, accompanied by sad music. This clown is played by Ditvoorst himself.

A passenger picks up a woman at dawn who is to be a guest until midnight. Their journey begins...

It is very rare for a British comedian to be given a concert film all to themself but in 1989 Lenny Henry was given that honour. We start off with him been driven to the concert by Robbie Coltrane as the sort of taxi driver you don't want to get a lift from. Once inside he meets three of his comic heroes - Steve Martin, Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy (all played by Lenny) and then it's on with the stage show. He mixes stand up with appearances from some of his best known characters and there are a few amusing songs along the way.

The ostensibly calm and courteous Gerald Ballantyne lives in and embodies modern suburbia. But he is haunted by the memory of a recent car crash and hounded by his estranged wife and her demands for divorce. Slowly, a festering insanity takes over and unwilling to face the outside world he embarks on a lunatic experiment. Confining himself to his middle-class home, he eschews contact with others and survives entirely off 'food' which he can find in his house. Based on JG Ballard's The Enormous Space.
