Deena Lynch, aka Jaguar Jonze, is a touring artist and songwriter. In 2024 she experienced a sudden and unexplained paralysis while swimming and began to drown. She was diagnosed with functional neurological disorder and lupus. The ocean became her sanctuary and place of rehabilitation as she learned about her new body. A year later, despite her debilitating health condition, she qualified for the Australian national team at the 35th AIDA Freediving World Championships in Cyprus and shocked the world.
