Psalmė

A short poetic film based on the text ‘Psalmė’ by the artist Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis. It explores the life of a teenager - Laima, and her search for her calling and purpose. Due to deeply rooted traditions, the girl is forced to marry a stranger, which means she must say goodbye to her home and family. No one takes Laima’s wishes or dreams seriously, as marriage is her duty. However, Laima does not abandon her deepest feelings and seizing an opportunity runs away from the wedding. Her only remaining support is God.
