XVII century. The Old Believer family lives in the sleepy Siberian taiga. They keep an ancient miraculous icon that has saved them from trouble more than once. Rumors about the numerous miracles performed by this icon spread further and further. The memory of the icon did not subside even after centuries. In the 70s of the 20th century, a group of researchers gathered an expedition to Siberia, to the place where Old Believers live. Now the icon seems to be in the secret of Karp and his daughter Agafia. Historians want to make sure that the rumors are true... They do not know that several more "interested groups" are also sent there - students, foreign agents and treasure hunter criminals.
