Why? (This Movie Exists)

A short promotional film created by Benny and Josh Safdie to accompany the theatrical release of Daddy Longlegs. In the piece, Benny Safdie appears on the streets of New York City distributing handmade flyers and engaging passers-by, humorously questioning “why this movie exists.” The short served as a guerrilla-style companion to Daddy Longlegs and was later included as a special feature on the film’s Criterion Collection Blu-ray release.
