The Office Pre-Pilot

In June 1998, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant made Seedy Boss, a 20-minute test film starring Gervais, as part of Merchant’s BBC television producer training. Created as a demo to pitch the concept that would eventually become The Office to the BBC, it was not intended for public release.
