Baron, who owns the circus, accepts unseemly proposals from the mayor to hold cattle auctions, rallies and other alternative events at the circus. Unhappy with the news, circus artists come together to plan a new show and re-attract the audience, led by Didi, Dedé and Karina.

The Our Gang kids put on a circus in the barn to raise money to help Porky's family pay the rent and avoid getting evicted.

A circus performer falls in love with the son of a plantation owner in antebellum New Orleans. When the young man's stepmother objects to the wedding, the couple break apart and go their separate ways for a time. Also in the mix are two circus comics who feud over the heart of another Southern belle.
