Yaşar Yaşamaz is officially considered "dead" because he appears in population records as having been killed in action in Çanakkale and Dersim, but he finds himself entangled in a vast bureaucratic labyrinth in order to prove that he is actually alive. Taking refuge with Necla, Nesrin begins having relationships with men in exchange for money. Haşmet, unable to cope with the pain of losing his daughter, is struck by a second blow.
