"With joy and merriness" is a experimental documentary where we observe, through every day scenes, the degeneration of a society where the rise of technology leeds the population to the biggest dream of all men: immortality

Deep inside a primitive forest, Agatha embarks on an ancestral ritual meant to mark her passage into adulthood. However, her encounter with eerie creatures turns her perceptions upside down. What if this quest is not what she was promised?

The documentary takes place in the centre of the town Graulhet, in the Tarn and films the tanneries, once considered as the town's glory, as they now stand. The film presents these tanneries as places full of memories for these new workers and the documentary conveys all the poetry of the past that still lingers within these old walls.

Loïc, formerly worker in a gravel quarry, has lost all of his memory after an accident, and cut himself off from the world. One day, an event pushes him to go outside, where he witnesses the first snowfall since his amnesia. Loïc gets absorbed by long forgotten sensations and wanders. In his mind, he finds the way back to his quarry.
