After a year’s absence of his father, son tries to reconcile with him on a solitary trip to the family mountain hut. The more he tries, the more distant his father becomes. When a sunny day is suddenly disrupted by heavy rain, son fears this might have something to do with his father. Can he find the strength to see the truth before the flood arrives?

Short Deeds were a challenge for a generation of filmmakers. The project had its rules which had to be followed by the screenwriters, directors and their six teams: three pages of script, action in a pulled-over car with no more than three actors, shot in one day, a twist in the plot, and to be featured in each story – a parting.

For a year, the director of the film follows the construction of a luxury hotel through his kitchen window. Fragments of the dissolution of his relationship sneak into the recorded material uninvited, shaking the very foundations of the film.

A well-established writer fights his family demons while the dreamers on top of the hill struggle with their health and hope for good fortune. A successful businesswoman has plenty of the latter; still, when her daughter’s singing career takes off, she starts questioning her own professional choices. A nagging doubt is also tormenting an underwater construction worker, who wants to show his son a mysterious dark lake. This visually striking film is a subtle narrative, a love story between people and a fading city.

Long married couple lives in the old red Škoda on the top of the hill. They live happily till one day, out of the blue, a blue Škoda passes. This is when the man finds out they are not synchronised anymore.

What if the only language you've ever known is threatened to be extinct? Three deaf protagonists belonging to three different generations are fighting to keep the sign language, the only language in which they profess love and friendship, hardship and grief, alive.
