Inspired by Jollin Tan’s poem ‘Shapeshifter’, eggs are used as metaphors in the film for self-representation, illustrating how humans break and conform to fit into society. However, whether fried, boiled, or scrambled, an egg is just an egg.

An old woman reluctantly leaves her house and steps out into a white space with a bell. She drags her house with her and rings the bell, causing a door and its Gatekeeper to appear. She struggles to pull her house through the narrow door, and fights off the Gatekeeper who tries to stop her from doing so. Eventually, she fails and must let go of her house to walk through the door. However, she realises that she can immortalise her house through the memories she has of them and she willingly moves on, letting go of her worldly attachments.
