When something bad happens at Aunt Til's exposition, the Sinterklaas fest seems to end once and for all. A series of terrible events is set in motion, which treatens to free the evil Dr. Brein and her accomplices.

Every year, there are problems getting all the parcels from Spain to the Netherlands by boat in November. That's why Sinterklaas has come up with a solution: a secret parcel storage facility in the Netherlands. When Sinterklaas secretly comes to the Netherlands months before his arrival to personally check the secret parcel storage facility, problems slowly start to pile up. When Sinterklaas is busy solving the problem of the Petes, he is kidnapped by the mean Dr. Brein and her accomplices Joris and Boris. Meanwhile, Pieta and Mrs. Dakjes try to teach a couple of Petes the petebusiness. There they are also harassed by Michiel, who wants to have an interview with Sinterklaas for the school newspaper. Giftnight is approaching and for the Petes and Sinterklaas it will be a race against time to find a solution and save Giftnight.

Many people have to deal with the crisis, including the less successful and hard businessman Brutus Brein. Brutus sees the figures of his company fall further and further into the red. The only person who is not affected by the crisis is Sinterklaas. Brutus sees his chance to get rid of his debt by selling his products to the saintly man. When Brutus notices that Sinterklaas is not interested in his products, he and his mother devise Dr. Brein and her accomplices Joris and Boris plan to rob Sinterklaas. The two children Milan and Eva have intercepted the plans of the mean Brutus and do everything they can to inform Sinterklaas. Milan and Eva enter a race against time to save the upcoming Sinterklaas party.

When Sinterklaas has an accident during his exam for his 'roof certificate', he has to go to the hospital. Everyone feels terrible, except for the evil Dr. Brein. She wants to use this opportunity to become Sinterklaas herself and change the holiday forever. Dr. Brein tries to steal the money for the presents with her henchmen Joris and Boris and make off with the Big Book of Sinterklaas. When Agent de Bok loses his job, he sets out to investigate with the Pieten. Will they succeed in bringing this exciting adventure to a successful conclusion and securing the Big Book of Sinterklaas before December 5?

The parcel boat leaves without Sinterklaas. Sinterklaas must race against the clock to catch up with the parcel boat, take on the villains, and ensure that the children receive their gifts.

The planned marriage between Premierpiet and Probleempiet is in jeopardy, scholars Hans and Frans Steenstra have been kidnapped, and a rare ruby has been stolen from the Rijksmuseum. The dangerous Dr. Brein is behind all of this. Sinterklaas must intervene and even sends his Pieten on a trip to Switzerland to prevent Dr. Brein's criminal organization from gaining power.
