After the passing of her mother, Lorena finds the diary that she kept all her life. The entries allow her to discover a different woman. Having grown up in the worship of her father who fought as a partisan during the war, Lorena realises that she must start digging in the secret story of her mother if she wants to understand aspects of her own life. The pages of the diary feel like a book from another time. Working as a nurse, her mother was covertly working for the partisans passing them intelligence that she astutely acquired from wounded German soldiers by administering more morphine than usually required to ease the pain.

Bruno lives at a home for the elderly and is in love with a co-resident named Dusa. Their love story is fragmented, as they tend to constantly forget each other. Thus, they can always meet for the first time.

15-year old Klemen lives with his elder brother Peter and single mother in a small and remote rural town. Klemen's well-established routine of spending time with his beloved brother on the tennis court and by the nearby river gets interrupted by Peter's sudden and passionate love affair with his gorgeous classmate Sonja. Matilde lives in a cramped house on the beach with his grandfather. To make some money, she scours the sand with her metal detector hoping to find something of value. On a cold winter morning, Matilde will discover an object which will change her life forever.

iIsland is a feature documentary about the last 13 inhabitants of the island of Biševo and their struggles to save the island community from extinction. Lada, who is a yoga instructor, and Lucio, who works as a cook on a ship, have established a city council for the island to obtain legal status. They hope this will protect it from the aggressive tourist industry, which wants to turn the old school building into a tourist centre with multimedia, touch-screen presentations.

The main hero, Martin Uhernik is involved in a crime, in the murder of his neighbour Jakob Luzar. The first instance court adjudicated his acquittal since there was lack of sufficient evidence of the murder. As the politicians and the local authorities interfere in the judgement, the prosecution requests a repeated trial before the Higher court. New evidence is found and the Higher court sentenced Uhernik to prison. His wife Ana is accused of taking part in the crime as well. During eight years of imprisonment the family falls apart: the wife passes away, the eight and twelve years old children are left to other people. The locals talk about a presumable killer and indicate a possibility of somebody else's involvement in the crime.
