In New York City, detective Luigi Mackeroni investigates a string of mysterious penile mutilations at the Hotel Quickie. After Mackeroni attempts to have a tryst with a gigolo he meets in the lobby, a carniverous condom bites off his right testicle and flees, which sets the detective off on a quest to stop the predatory prophylactic once and for all.

After the essay "On Marionette theatre" by Heinrich von Kleist. The film focuses on Kleist himself, torn apart, searching for knowledge, for identity, trapped in his loneliness and self-absorption, jumping over walls, making grimaces, cruelty, suffering.

Set in the period prior to the revolt in Timisoara in December 1989 and mirroring the events that led to the downfall of the dictator Ceausescu.

Through anonymous letters, a woman receives a series of images that pertain to her personally; they confuse and frighten her, but increasingly fascinate her as well…
