A legendary she-demon, in the updated guise of a beautiful model, infiltrates the offices of a successful fashion magazine with the aim of corrupting the world via mass media.

Alice Howell plays a working girl who breaks into society through no fault of her own when asked to pose as royalty at a posh party. Spiked punch adds to the hilarity of the proceedings. A silent film inspired by the character of Cinderella, but with the contemporary setting.

Poland is under Communist rule. An exiled Polish theater director is in England, enthusiastically preparing an abstract play which will criticize the authoritarian Polish government. His sons might not share his political views, though.

A landlady kicks a woman and her dog out of their home so the room can be rented by crooks. After a bungled suicide attempt, the woman begins to sing in the streets for money. She is then framed, kidnapped, and subsequently forced to work in a bar run by criminals.
