Fujian Film Studio

A group of young people from all corners of the country work in a Beijing publishing press. They all live in the same shabby apartment block, where their lives intertwine.

Fuk Ching (Michael Hui) runs a farm in Mainland China. Persuaded by a Western businessman, the two put together a joint venture scheme to build a hotel.

The film follows a young man, A Xi who is recently released from prison. Once released, he seeks out his old girlfriend Li Xin who has since begun a relationship with La La a young musician. As the two men vie for her attention, tension and violence escalate.
