An atheist gets into a taxi whose driver is a believer who will try to convince him that God exists, but it was not quite as he had imagined.

The film promotes the meeting of two characters that could be opposites: Móveis Coloniais de Acaju, a band with an unusual sound and doomed to failure, and Brasília, the country's capital planned to suceed.

Afonso is a university professor and a single father to his son Benedict. One day, they decide to take a trip together, but face problems when their car breaks down. They are helped by four very beautiful telemarketing operators who take them back to São Paulo.

A group of bored well-off young adults come up with anarchic concept of Conceptionism, that promotes absolute looseness when it comes to sex and drugs, but total rejection of money and ego. However, their movement won't last long.
