El Cholo, a Peruvian taxi driver, flees from justice in his country and comes to Venezuela in search for a better future. After running into a gang of con-men who leave him penniless, he meets a peculiar group of Latin Americans who work for a gangster known as The Russian as hitmen. El Cholo is quickly trapped in a world of blood and ambition that makes him realize the true cost of life and death.

Octavio, a hermit, has visions of an environmental disaster that will destroy the city where his brother lives. Octavio, with the excuse of a false pneumonia, invites him to his isolated house to keep him away from the catastrophe.

Jhonny Quintero, the only survivor of the catastrophe in Mérida, Venezuela, in 2000, relives his tragic accident in which a group of high mountain hikers were buried by a block of ice and snow. This event led to a rescue operation that lasted 16 days, known as Operation Humboldt. During this time, an arduous search was conducted to locate the missing and rescue the survivors under extreme conditions.
