Hermoso silencio (Beautiful Silence) is a film that tells the story of a man (Cruz) born and raised in the mountains of north Mexico, unaware of modern society. After his Parents death he sets himself on a journey to the discovery of the world long kept from his simple existence. His path into the unknown reveals the evil and good in the human heart and the harsh realities of life.

José Guadalupe García was born in the United States, but seems very Mexican. Winning his American girlfriend creates many comic situations, but he also faces discrimination and racism.

Juan is summoned by Goldenberg to offer him a job in the cheap business. To get away from him, Pardo evades his proposals justifying himself by saying that he must consult with his partner; who, in reality, does not exist. As the story progresses we can see how this partner, who is called Mr. Davis, takes on a life of his own inside Juan's mind.
