The Wishbone family are far from happy. In an attempt to reconnect as a family, they plan a fun night out. However, the plan backfires when they are cursed and all turned into Monsters.

A spaceship containing specimens for an intergalactic zoo crashes on Earth near a small backwoods town. The specimens escape, and soon town folk start turning up mutilated.

Kei Omori did not have anything he wanted to do with his life. Without any specific reasons, he enrolled in a special nursing school. After his graduation, he begins work at a small-size multi-functional facility as a care worker. He has a hard time communicating with the elderly people with dementia. For the first time, he is placed in charge of 79-year-old Keiko Hoshikawa who has dementia. With the help of the staff and trial-and-error, he develops a relationship with Keiko.

Kei Omori is a caregiver who has left his previous job at a small-scale care service to come work at a large-scale nursing home. But he is unable to hide his tremendous discomfort with a management style that prioritizes efficiency and risk control in the name of accommodating large numbers of residents. It is under these circumstances that Mieko, an elderly woman living with dementia, moves into the nursing home.

Six young women, including Katsuki Takahashi, hold a high school reunion, but their high school has been shut down. The women are happy to see each other again. Suddenly, a shot rings out and one person dies. They receive a text message from Natumi Shirakawa who died 7 years ago. The text message asks "who is the criminal?" To figure out the identity of the perpetrator they look back at what happened 7 years ago.

Five short stories of life's joys and sorrows are brought together in this omnibus drama from Japan.

On the night of Mikihiko's 18th birthday, Mikihiko thinks of childhood friend Morio. Morio has been in vegetative state since the age of 6 after being involved in an accident.One day, Moria awakens from his vegetative state. Morio still has the mind of a 6-year-old.

Tomohiro takes his fiance Machiko to his hometown of Aridagawa in Wakayama Prefecture to see his family. Tomohiro’s family includes three siblings. His younger brother Takeshi refuses to go to school. His older sister Yumi isn't interested in their family. Younger sister Sayaka has an inferiority complex and has a fear of dating. There's also Satomi, who everybody calls "Mama", and she does all of the housework. Kayoko is called Kaka and she works as a snack bar manager. Narumi is called Haha and she is a high school teacher. Finally, there's their father Shoichiro, better known as Chichi. It's an unusual family, but able to exist in harmony. Due to Machiko's appearance, the family becomes shaken.

Tetsuo Togami is in the 2nd grade of high school. Due to a fight, he is hospitalized. There, he meets Maiko Takashiro. She has an incurable disease. She also has a hearing disability and is unable to talk. At first, Tetsuo becomes embarrassed but begins exchanging text messages with Maiko. Through the text messages, he begins having feelings for her. Even after his discharge from the hospital, he goes to visit Maiko every day. They promise to go out together on Maiko's birthday, but her condition worsens.

Chuya, who spends his days in a local city without any purpose or dream, suddenly decides to go to Tokyo. His best friends: J, Gizmo, and Machida, from high school try to hold a big farewell party on the last day that Chuya spends locally, but Chuya remembers the past. It seems that he is clinging and hesitating to move. There, the three make a proposal for Chuya, but Yumiko, a longing senior who should be active as an entertainer in Tokyo, appears, and Chuya's heart shakes even more.
