The loves of a Sevilian girl living in a patio house at Macarena's quarter and his sweetheart Manolo are troubled by her older and generous housekeeper who is also in love with her.

A modern Azerbaijani woman’s life is non stop all day as she juggles traditional and secular roles, her life subsumed by service for others while rarely getting the respect she deserves. Throughout the film we see how things are changing in progressive Azerbaijan, and how some things don’t change; like her, it is a country at a crossroads of seeming contradictions. This is the story of "a" woman, elements of whom are universal.

A rich Andalusian knight, Don Juan, had relations with a gypsy and a daughter. On the death of the mother, Don Juan hosted the girl at home and raised her like a lady, far from the customs and traditions of Roma. Don Juan has another son, this legitimate, who was educated abroad and upon return, unaware of the blood ties which unite them, falls for his sister. The father is opposed to this relationship, but the gypsy relatives discover that the girl is his daughter.
