A fashion photographer and his French models travel to Bangkok.

The film follows Etienne, a 40-year-old car designer, who takes time off from work to study sexual mastery from a Zen master and several prostitutes, in the hopes of having the sexual skill to impress Laure. Laure, a blonde who was introduced to him by his friend Jacques, told Etienne on January 1 that she will not have sex with him until May 27 that year at precisely 9 PM.

Mathilde and her husband, who works in a minister's office, are not rich. Mathilde, however, loves beautiful clothes and her husband loves her too much that he lets her do anything she wants. One day they receive an invitation for an important party and she wants to look her best. She borrows a beautiful diamond necklace from her rich friend, but then the necklace gets lost.

A toothless production team hires a trendy young pretty boy, barely an actor, to star in classic Soviet director's latest film, to play a role of a lifetime, a one he never was meant to play: that of a gruesome serial killer. Powerless before the might of bureaucracy, the veteran cinematographer will have to turn the stuck-up kid into a proper actor in record time, or have the money-making face quit all together; whichever one it will be, he knows just what he needs to put the young one through to get him there.
