Spain, 1953. Pedro Zaragoza, mayor of the city of Benidorm, in the province of Alicante, by the Mediterranean Sea, visits the Palacio del Pardo, General Franco's residence in Madrid, to ask him for help, in the hope of solving a very delicate problem.

Late 1800s. The arrival of the railroad to an isolated town brings the long-awaited progress, but also Oleguer, a dark loan shark with shady dealings. When he seizes and stays at Cileta and her family's farmhouse, the young peasant will do anything possible to get her house back. This film is Álex Montoya's first feature film: an interesting adaptation of the play La gente by Juli Disla and Jaume Pérez, also screenwriters of the film. The emergence of assembly groups after the political movements after 2011 served their authors to cast a comic look at decision-making processes and the capacity for dialogue of the human being.
