Levana Hakim’s student graduation project from Tel Aviv University’s Department of Film and Television Studies features the story of Havatzelet, a young woman who spends her nights in the company of UN soldiers, in the hopes that one of them might whisk her off with him across the ocean, as far away as possible from her past and her life of destitute, living in a shack she must share with her strict conservative mother, pregnant sister, and brother who is bleeding her dry, financially. The film was shown at multiple festivals and has won scores of praise and awards.

He's obsessively trying to make the place a safe haven while she longs back to the riots. The film was made after the Tel-Aviv riots for social justice and it shows the conflict between the will to fight for change and the need in a more quiet and bourgeois life. The conflict is represented by the two characters and by the tension between the shut interior and the chaotic urban exterior.

After another unsuccessful suicide attempt, depressed Simcha wakes up in her childhood bedroom. During 48 hours of family supervision, after which she is to be committed, Simcha tries to find other ways to kill herself while her family members race against the clock to find her something else.
