Focuses on the performance of various elite athletes during the PanAmerican Games held in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1979. Athletes showcased in the documentary include USA team swimmer of Puerto Rican origin Jesse Vassallo; legendary Cuban track and field athlete Alberto Juantorena; Mexican diver Carlos Girón; American diver Greg Louganis; and the Puerto Rico national basketball team, among others. At the end of the film, the athletes expressed their hopes of being "a step away" from the 1980 Olympics Games; however, these hopes were shattered by the political crisis and the eventual USA-led boycott to the Olympic Games held in Moscow in 1980.

Through photos of the time and recording of the writer, this documentary tells the story of Juan Ramón Jiménez in the light of his work.

The film presents the five members of the popular music group La Pandilla in a tangled comedy-musical plot, involving a stolen audio recording, during the summer of their group tour. Includes sequences within the same concerts, where the enthusiastic public is also shown. The plot is woven around this tour, alternating performances with funny incidents at a hotel in Condado where they stayed.

Culebra, an island off Puerto Rico, is used by the USA as a target area for bombing practice with live ammunition. The documentary depicts the struggles of the people of Culebra as they take increasingly militant action to put a stop to the target practice bombing of the area.
