Comical adventures of two pairs of friends during their stay in Deauville, Normandy.

Frédéric, a shy small-town man, falls in love with Anne, a middle class woman married to Didier, who cheats on her with top model Barbara. Catherine, a very determined woman, is secretly in love with Frédéric and in order to keep him away from Anne, pushes him into Barbara's arms.

In 1920, a squire decides to change his skin and pretends to be poor to a nice bourgeois family. This mysterious and handsome young man, discovered in a pavilion of a vast property, will cause a lot of disturbances among the female population of a castle.

During an evening in a bar, Roger, a friendly cognac salesman and connoisseur, overhears a telephone conversation that intrigues him, then worries him: "... a few bullets to the head and she'll be dead in a minute...". Distraught, Roger follows the stranger who has taken his car. A relentless pursuit ensues. Roger arrives at a mysterious property where the "assassin" disappears to commit his crime. Knocked unconscious by the killer he fought and prevented from carrying out his crime, Roger regains his senses, comfortably installed in the living-room of an old colonel, Colonel Van Booren.
