The story of this film is a loose adaptation of a novel of the same name written by Ruhollah Rashidi and narrates the attachments of a building painter who loves cinema, who has succeeded in producing several short films and dreams of making his first feature film.

The event also proves an occasion for extended family to reconnect, reminisce and rejoice in the pleasures of familiar company. The family compound of aged Uncle Ezzatolah proves an ideal site for this summer reunion among three generations, with its lush courtyard gardens, labyrinthine parlors and passageways and erratic electrical system (subject to untimely city blackouts).

The Second Tale, "The Momentary Rainbow": A film crew is filming the memorials of the war. Suddenly two Basij members demand the crew to listen to their memories of the war. The crew made an appointment for tomorrow but they don’t show up. The crew goes on a search to find them. They were martyrs. The Third Tale, "The Glass Flower": A young girl spends hours in the train station with a lantern and a bouquet of flowers. She is waiting to hand the flowers to one of the soldiers on their way to the war. Later, everyone finds out that she only hands her flowers to a soldier that will soon become a martyr.

The movie Okht al-Reza (Reza's sister) narrates the journey of the Lady of Dignity, Hazrat Masoumeh PBUH from Madinah to Qom. While portraying the events of the Prophet's path, her time, Ma'mun's conspiracies and efforts for her martyrdom, the work tries to express a mystical narrative of the character of Hazrat Masoumeh. It deals with the story of this journey, and includes passages about the political and social atmosphere of the time, where the general atmosphere of the storytelling is somewhat close to the documentary.
