The story of this film is a loose adaptation of a novel of the same name written by Ruhollah Rashidi and narrates the attachments of a building painter who loves cinema, who has succeeded in producing several short films and dreams of making his first feature film.

Youssef, a blind university professor, is suddenly diagnosed with a fatal disease and must undergo treatment in France. Back home, will he find the life he had before?

A young university professor, who leads a quiet and reclusive life and fills his life with reading and teaching literature, meet a young girl who has altered the course of her life for the sake of a man she loves. She has promised to meet her beloved at a certain spot on four consecutive nights exactly one year after their last meeting. The young professor's encounter with the young and passionate girl during four nights brings about significant changes in both of their lives and beliefs. Now concepts like love, literature and expection have a new meaning for them.

Ahmad Piran, a respected figure in his village in Iran, is getting ready to travel to the city to support his son in an important sports competition. However, when he hears that the daughter of one of his friends has gone missing, he decides to stay behind. Despite his apprentice Ayhan's repeated suggestions that he should go to the competition, knowing how much his son has worked for it, Ahmad feels a strong sense of responsibility to his community. He begins gathering the villagers to search for the missing girl. A heartfelt video of Ahmad and the villagers asking for help in searching the vast fields is shared, and soon, a large group of people arrives to the village. After hours of searching, there's no sign of the girl. Ahmad's friend tells him that his daughter may have been kidnapped by someone who knows him and is aware of his leg problem. They begin to search every house in the village.

The First Tale, "Goodbye Friend": Years after the Iran-Iraq war, a midnight, Moslem, a chemically poisoned veteran, decides to go to the Behesht-e Zahra. In Behesh-e Zahra, Moslem meets his martyred friends and rides around the city on a motorcycle with them. In the morning, his mother finds the Moslem’s dead body on his bed. The Second Tale, "The Momentary Rainbow": A film crew is filming the memorials of the war. Suddenly two Basij members demand the crew to listen to their memories of the war. The crew made an appointment for tomorrow but they don’t show up. The crew goes on a search to find them. They were martyrs. The Third Tale, "The Glass Flower": A young girl spends hours in the train station with a lantern and a bouquet of flowers. She is waiting to hand the flowers to one of the soldiers on their way to the war. Later, everyone finds out that she only hands her flowers to a soldier that will soon become a martyr.

It deals with the story of this journey, and includes passages about the political and social atmosphere of the time, where the general atmosphere of the storytelling is somewhat close to the documentary.
