"Grace" is a story about the fragments of life of one family, their habits and their decisions. The daughter is forced to sacrifice herself to take care of her mother. Or is that her choice?

Marijana is trying really hard to be happy, settle down and start a family. She is in her late thirties, lives in a one bedroom apartment with her husband Nino, and feels stuck in a rut. One day Marijana and Nino get invited to a dinner party at their friends Tanja and Dule's brand new apartment to meet their baby daughter. Tanja and Dule seem to have it all, and Marijana has a glass of whiskey in her hand...

Satan Panonski, born Ivica Čuljak in 1960, was a Croatian punk musician, poet, artist and freak performer. We get to follow his performance at the Studentski Kulturni Centar, Novi Sad, visit the cult station of Radio B92, a conversation at the apartment and finally the never presented staff from the Popovača Hospital. In 1991, Čuljak joined the Croatian army in the Croatian War of Independence. He died in 1992 while still a Croatian soldier. The cause of his death is unknown. It is rumored that he died after slipping and accidentally discharging the gun he was carrying.

The story is set in one single day, in which he goes to an old friend from whom he buys a fake European Union passport. Throughout the day Nikola encounters several unpleasant situations that give us the impression that he's about to explode at any moment.

As Vesna and Jova grow closer, Mirko’s disapproval becomes more aggressive, and his lack of self-control strains his relationship with his mother. The situation shifts when Mirko’s childhood friend Marina arrives in the village for the summer holidays. The emotions that develop between them seem to fill the emptiness in Mirko’s heart. Through these new experiences, Mirko begins to see his mother with eyes full of understanding.

Personal struggles of the band members, line-up changes, recording problems and the story of a short American breakthrough, stopped by the NATO bombing of Serbia in 1999. It also shines a spotlight on the political situation in Serbia during the 90s.
