It is no coincidence that they were the very first band to use the word "heavy metal" in their lyrics.

A long time ago, years before Elon Musk reached for the stars with his Space X project, a young man had his own childhood dream about a journey into space. This documentary tells the fantastic story of German astrophysicist Lutz Kayser who developed the world's first private space company. He did this under the curious and concerned eyes of secret services around the world.

Lutz Kayser, a Swabian engineer, has dreamed of the stars since childhood. In 1969, he and other members of a student working group won a research contract from the German government to develop alternative forms of propulsion for the European rocket program. At the beginning of the 1970s, when the German government no longer wanted to fund this research, Kayser founded OTRAG (Orbital Transport und Raketen Aktiengesellschaft) - the world's first private space company.
