Two married couples of different religions and social status decide to swap their wives so they could all emigrate to New Zealand in an easier way.

A man, old, decrepit, terrified, in a house with his friend Goran. Outside he wanders aimlessly, seeing enemies in both neighbours and foreigners. Ena, a journalist, arrives in the village, to film a story on heritage guardians. Through her camera lens she discovers a strange Man, secretly watching. His „hiding place“ has been exposed. Ilness and reality clash. In the house a threat appears, a wartime lover, with the message that the devil has come to collect his due. A stormy night and fateful encounters. To run or to fight and face it all? And return?

The plot of this film is set in an idyllic village in the middle of Bosnia, connected with outer world only with a tunnel. Story begins in 1996, when refugees in a police escort come close to their, due to war abandoned, homeland and a tunnel - their only connection with the world.

The protagonist is a fictional character named Adem Sokolovic, a high-ranking Party official who is one day falsely accused of undermining Yugoslavia. The plot shows how he was arrested and placed in prison where he came into conflict with the warden.

A tale of victory of humanism over revenge motif. Amir Reko (nicknamed "Macedonian", but actually Bosnian Muslim by ethnicity), the ex-captain of Yugoslav People's Army, saved lives of 44 Serb civilians during the siege of Gorazde in 1992. He went through personal and professional temptation during the war, while plenty of other officers ended up in Hague or other international criminal courts across Europe.

“Duran” is a story about the reality of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian society, about the forgotten workers and the peasants, about abandoned generations who get fired in their 50s, about dreams, love and friendship, crimes and punishment.
