In Coimbra, law student José Duarte and the beautiful Maria de Lisboa experience an intense love story, but after finishing his studies and feeling betrayed, José Duarte abandons Maria and goes to Porto, seeking success as a singer of Coimbra fado. But, unknowingly, he leaves her pregnant with a child.

Between January 12 and 17, 1945, it snowed every day in the Lisbon region. This was an unprecedented event that has not been repeated since and that was captured in this short documentary.

To get away from the boredom of the city, Henrique de Souzelas visits his aunt Doroteia, in a picturesque village in the North, where he becomes attracted to his young, beautiful cousin Madalena.
