It is Singapore in the late 1930s. Kai and Fei are childhood friends and aspiring violinists. When Japan invades Malaya in 1941, Kai chooses to forgo his music career to join the anti-Japanese forces. After the war Kai goes missing. Determined to find him, Fei performs all over Southeast Asia, all the while seeking any news of Kai. Yet, as time fades, Fei has to decide if she must find her own music to define the remaining years of her life.

Putra, a 13-year-old boy with asthma, dreams of playing for Indonesia's national team. Lacking skill but never passion, he joins trials at Sanca Perkasa Soccer School—only to face ridicule from Aldo, who mocks his weak body and failed attempts. Crushed, Putra retreats to a field near the cemetery to play with friends, where Aldo challenges them again. In the middle of the match, Putra suddenly collapses—and awakens in another realm. There, he meets Gaga, a glowing Garuda spirit who gifts him a mystical jersey, unlocking incredible speed, power, and skill. Can he rise above doubt and ridicule to become the footballer he longs to be?

First officially screened as an anthology film in August 2018 in Seoul International Animated Film Festival, featuring 6 animated short films about life, love and the landscapes of Singapore past and present. With virtually no dialogue, each film is accompanied by a musical score and aims to show how our living landscapes and surroundings intertwine with our memories and imagination. Stories are based on Singapore’s past that spans 80 years. The latest addition is "Erhu", premiered on 5 Feb 2019. ​

Circa late 1930s, Boat Quay, Singapore. A young boy receives an old violin as a gift out of kindness from a foreign trader. From then on, it becomes a treasured possession as he teaches himself to play the instrument over several years, until it was lost during the Japanese Occupation of Singapore. After the war, the violin was found by a man working for the British Military Administration and given to his young daughter. The girl learns to play it and becomes a renowned violinist over the decades. She eventually passes the instrument on to her grandson, an accomplished violinist himself, who restores it and performs in a concert by the Singapore River, where the violin started its unexpected journey nearly 80 years ago.

On a quiet February morning in 1942, weeks after the Japanese occupied Singapore, a young Chinese boy accompanies his father on a walk from their home to a mass screening centre. Accompanied by a sombre score, the animated film is a melancholic reflection on the systemic purge of local Chinese by the Japanese military known as Sook Ching and meditates on the historical trauma.

A young Malay girl is separated from her mother at a Pasar Malam (night market) and meets a cat who brings her deep into the underbelly of the bazaar where fantasy meets reality.
