It is Singapore in the late 1930s. Kai and Fei are childhood friends and aspiring violinists. When Japan invades Malaya in 1941, Kai chooses to forgo his music career to join the anti-Japanese forces. After the war Kai goes missing. Determined to find him, Fei performs all over Southeast Asia, all the while seeking any news of Kai. Yet, as time fades, Fei has to decide if she must find her own music to define the remaining years of her life.

Putra (Keanu Azka), a 13-year-old boy living with asthma, dreams of one day playing for Indonesia’s national football team. Often underestimated, his determination never wavers until he fails a crucial selection, making his dream feel impossibly out of reach. Everything changes when he encounters Gaga (Kristo Immanuel), a mystical Garuda who offers him a new chance. Alongside Naya (Quinn Salman), a talented young footballer and the coach’s daughter who becomes his fiercest ally, Putra embarks on a journey filled with challenges, growth, and unexpected courage. Through it all, Putra comes to understand that chasing a dream takes more than grit and bravery. It takes belief, and the people who stand beside you. The question is: can he rise above his limits and become one of Indonesia’s finest?

First officially screened as an anthology film in August 2018 in Seoul International Animated Film Festival, featuring 6 animated short films about life, love and the landscapes of Singapore past and present. With virtually no dialogue, each film is accompanied by a musical score and aims to show how our living landscapes and surroundings intertwine with our memories and imagination. Stories are based on Singapore’s past that spans 80 years. The latest addition is "Erhu", premiered on 5 Feb 2019. ​

THE VISIT is an intimate stop-motion short film about a young girl’s growing-up years and her relationship with her incarcerated father.

Circa late 1930s, Boat Quay, Singapore. A young boy receives an old violin as a gift out of kindness from a foreign trader. From then on, it becomes a treasured possession as he teaches himself to play the instrument over several years, until it was lost during the Japanese Occupation of Singapore. After the war, the violin was found by a man working for the British Military Administration and given to his young daughter. The girl learns to play it and becomes a renowned violinist over the decades. She eventually passes the instrument on to her grandson, an accomplished violinist himself, who restores it and performs in a concert by the Singapore River, where the violin started its unexpected journey nearly 80 years ago.
