To marry her fiance Dong Jifang, Wang Danlin and her father Zhuoran take the cruise home to Hong Kong. The daughter fails to see eye to eye with her father who covets after Dong's money for speculation. On the ship, she suffers intensive courtship from the Filipino Chinese Lin Yamang. Meanwhile, Dong is eager to match his old frame Bai Jin with the sailor Mai Qin, but Mai mistakes Danlin for Bai and falls in love with her, resulting in a morass of troubles. Finding out Dong's affair with Bai, Danlin calls off the wedding in anger. Dong responds by deciding to marry Jin. Their nuptials are saved with the timely intervention of Mai.

Adapted from one of China's most well-known fairy tales, the Goddess of Mount Hua falls in love with a young mortal scholar Liu Yanchang and gives birth to a baby son, Chenxiang. When Chenxiang grows up, he seeks to unravel the mystery surrounding his mother whom he has never met.

When a murder occurs in a nightclub, dancers Pak Lai Hung and Lam Yin Fei meet the murderer and run into a college to hide. The next day, they perform on the beach in place of female students Zhu Man Zhen and Liang Mei Fang, but they are expelled by the police because they are not licensed to perform. The next day, they perform on the beach in place of female students Chu Man-chun and Leung Mei-fong. On the night of the charity show, Hung and Fei are watching the performance on stage, but the murderer follows them, fortunately, Fang finds him and calls the teachers and students and the police to arrest him.

Luo Ya-nan and Liang Ai-lun grow up together and never stop teasing each other. Liang, a doctor by profession, has a crush on the nurse Gao Shi-wen. To torment Liang, Luo dresses up as a man, and goes to the hospital to woo Gao. She wins Gao's heart, but also finds herself falling for the nurse's elder brother Zhuoran. So she introduces him to her 'twin sister', and Zhuoran duly falls in love with her. Now Luo finds herself dressing sometimes as a man and other times a woman, running back and forth between Gao and Zhuoran.

Leung Sing-por and Liu Enjia reunite with director Wong Tin-lam as they carry their inter-cultural feud to the dining table in this foodie comedy. This time, the two plump stars play owners of competing restaurants—Cantonese cuisine in one and Northern cuisine in the other, of course—whose rivalry heats up when their respective children decide to get married. While the script by Eileen Chang cleverly uses the two regions' foods to bring out clash of cultures, the film's title already says that it is ultimately a heartwarming film about two decent men who must put petty arguments aside for their children's happiness.

This first colour production of MP & GI details the ins and outs of the profession and takes the three lead actresses, Ge Lan (Grace Chang), Julia Ye Feng and Dolly Su Feng through a series of tough training. After their graduation, the film then brings them, and the audience, to exotic places like Bangkok, Singapore and Taiwan.

The Kong family has four daughters. Hilda, the eldest sister, assumes the role of a mother and often lets romance slip by. Third sister Hedy introduces her to Sun Ruhao, an engineer, but Sun is snatched by second sister Helen. The youngest girl Hazel drops out of school in pursuit of love. Tso Kea was adroit in adapting film and literary classics from the West, organically transplanting stories and characters onto Chinese soil and nurturing them to glorious fruition. Love Lingers On is based on the gothic novel Wuthering Heights and Tso shepherds Emily Brontë's tale of profound passion, thwarted love and bitter vengefulness with a perfect balance of broad narrative strokes and delicate orchestration of mise-enscene. He wisely concentrates on the lead characters' simmering mental troubles, greatly enhanced by stars Cheung Ying and Mui Yee, who overcome glaring age differences with their characters to bring life to this saga of vivid emotions.

.A young middle-class upstart Lin Ching Yi reluctantly takes on the task as understudy for her sick father who's a dedicated teacher to a band of mischievous working-class 3rd graders that initially proved to be much more than she can handle. Yet it is the matronly bond that is formed with her little urchin flock and her gradual understanding of the their poverty-stricken home lives outside of the classroom that raises the stakes for her as a teacher. It doesn't hurt that her empathetic male colleague Kit Chang provides support for her dilemmas also provide her a prospect as love interest. With growing ties with her students and school, Lin finds herself accepting the challenge for education of her community with her own education of love.

Musician Sun Ping is estranged from his wife. Second daughter Yinzheng lives with Sun while eldest daughter Jinliu follows her mother. By coincidence, the sisters both enter the 'Calendar Girl' pageant but Jinliu deliberately lets her sister win the contest. Later, the sisters and Liu Bucheng perform in Sun's musical show. Though the show is a success, Yinzheng decides to quit in order to get married. Not wishing to disappoint their father, Jinliu devises a plan to make Yinzheng stay on, but the plan misfires. Yinzheng leaves angrily. She is at last brought back to the show due to Liu's mediation. The elders also reconcile as the sisters perform together on stage.

The film traces the relationships that develop between the protagonist Xu and the three women he meets, set against the backdrop of the Second World War.

FAIRY, GHOST, VIXEN (1965) consists of three fanciful tales that may be loosely classified as ghost stories, but they're presented and designed more along the lines of traditional fairy tales. They're beautifully staged and photographed and have a timeless quality about them with a moral at the end of each.
