In Bangalore, Nanda is in love with a leading architect Narendaran. When Narendran dies, Nanda escorts his body to his homeland in Kerala. To her surprise she sees Narendran's twin brother Unni, who looks exactly like Narendran. She thinks Narendran is not dead and everyone is trying to fool her. Narendran's parents want Nanda to marry Unni but he is already in love with Bhadra.

Although Achu's mother loves her dearly, she never shares anything about her father. When Achu falls in love with an orphan, her mother opposes her love, which creates a rift between the two.
