After graduation, a young woman gets his first job in the women's prison in the province. The story follows her struggle to survive in a small town with her small child, alcohol addiction, and the battle with the prisoners and prison brutality and other schemers who wanted to remove her from working spot.

A local bar/restaurant run by a feuding husband and wife find themselves and their business threatened by a not so bright group of extortionists. With the help of their patrons who wish to preserve their quiet mode of patronage and a motor cycle riding stranger, they take the fight directly back to the villains with some non conventional approaches.

After car crash with some Turk, Pantic gets the idea to build a motel for all Turks who traveling through Yugoslavia. Sojic wants to thwart the plan, and tells the Turk in confidence that Pantic is gay. However, the Turk is also gay.

Dimitrije Pantic loses his suitcase with business projects in an overcrowded bus, only to find a similar one - yet full of foreign currencies. This money turns his life upside down, but it also influences other people's ambitions.

A young reporter girl nicknamed Cream Pie writes an article on money-making in small businesses. She meets a married shoemaker who falls for her and steals his wife's money for their love nest, but Cream Pie discovers it by accident and takes it to the newspapers' office. Shoemaker's wife interferes into this whole confusion and the whole fuss resolves at a hospital.

On the 35th anniversary of his company, Dimitrije Pantic gets a plaque and watch as a present instead of well-deserved promotion he was hoping for. Meanwhile, his highly corrupt boss Srecko Sojic plans to ruin the company with his business partners and sell it on auction, which would provide him with money. For being a "troubled element", Pantic loses his job at the company and finds a new one as a private detective, accidentally discovering Sojic's intentions on the first day of work.
