Venice, sixteenth century. Giulio, a foreign gentleman spends a memorable night in the city where he meets and beds two beautiful women. They are Angela, a widowed lady, and Valeria, whose husband has left for Florence.

Tonino, a young shepherd from Campania, is supposed to marry Filomena, the daughter of local farmers. For Christmas, Tonino goes to Naples to "sing the novema" with his bagpipe, leaving Filomena pregnant. There, he falls in love with Angela, a variety singer, who helps him by opening his way as a disco DJ.

Scella Pezzata, daughter of the Indian chief Heavy Ball of the Cefaloni tribe, is betrothed to Cavallo Pazzo, but is in love with Arrapaho, son of the Indian chief Mazza Nera of the Arrapaho tribe, who is in turn the object of Luna Caprese's wishes of the Froceyenne tribe.

Neglected by her husband, a woman takes refuge in love for a young director. But he only thinks about sex and does not give her anything that can comfort her emotionally.
